And just like that, Oliver is a month old!
We are kind of settling in now and getting on some sort of schedule…as much of a schedule that a newborn will allow, anyway! We have a little lull in between visitors now; one of my sisters came for a few days, my mom just left after coming out for a week, and another sister will be coming at the
end of the month. It has been so good to have family here but I sure get homesick when they leave!
I’ll probably write a little more about his birth at some point but for now, here’s a little snapshot of our life lately.
WANTING | this light fixture from Pottery Barn for our dining room
NEEDING | organization, desperately
LOVING | these drawings that my friend Kristina made for our living room
READING | the rules for Candy Land (I’m pretty sure Matilda has been cheating), articles on baby sleep habits
EATING | too many sweets, my mom’s homemade granola with dried apricots, walnuts, pecans, and almonds
DRINKING | coffee again!!! Extra strong with a shot of espresso, please.
COOKING | does toasting an Eggo count?? I hope so.
WEARING | these nursing tanks from Target (love them), Oliver in a wrap
FEELING | hungry. All. The. Time.
LISTENING | to lullabies and baby snores
WATCHING | Matilda grow up before my eyes. Having a newborn in the house makes me realize that she’s not a baby anymore…and now I have a lump in my throat.
LEARNING | how to be a mother to two children, to be content
MISSING | home.
